A Private Screening of A Chemical Reaction

invite you to a private screening of the movie

 A Chemical Reaction

followed by a tasting of organic wines

A Chemical Reaction , a documentary movie, tells the story of one of the most powerful and effective community initiatives in North America.  If you’ve ever doubted the ‘Power of One’ and the difference a single committed individual can make, you must see A Chemical Reaction.

Narrated by Paul Tukey, the movie features Dr. June Irwin and her struggle to change the pesticide habits in her small town after she becomes convinced there is a connection between her patients’ health conditions and their exposure to chemical pesticides and herbicides used on their lawns.   A Chemical Reaction is as much about the political process as it is about lawn care chemicals.

In keeping with the pesticide-free theme of the evening, we will also be offering a tasting of fine wines made from organically grown grapes with no or low sulfites added.  These wines are delicious, complex and full of character – all that’s missing is the pesticides and other chemicals!

So treat yourself (feel free to bring along a guest) to a much needed summer break before the fall busy season starts.  Catch up with old friends and meet some new ones while you are treated to a private screening of the movie that is creating tons of buzz and excitement wherever it is shown.

A portion of the proceeds of this special event will benefit the National Audubon Society in Greenwich and support environmental education and their conservation efforts to protect birds and the natural places they depend on.
